CEMA: New leadership in strategic committee Julia Catini chair Mark Moore vice-chair


The Strategic Committee of CEMA, the European Agricultural Machinery Association, has elected Julia Catini, Head of European Affairs at CNH, as its new chairman, while Mark Moore of AGCO has been elected vice-chairman.
CEMA’s Strategic Committee is a key body that advises the Union’s Governing Board on European policy issues, assessing the available options and preparing strategies for the future challenges of the industry. It is composed of representatives of the national member associations of CEMA and representatives of companies.

Julia Catini: An experienced voice in the dialogue with the EU

A member of the Strategic Committee for more than ten years, Julia Catini has held a leading position in CNH’s representation office in Brussels since 2016, working closely with European institutions and industry associations. He has a long career in the field of strategic industrial policies, specialising in agricultural machinery, construction equipment and automotive.

The new Commission President said:

“It is a great honour to chair the CEMA Strategic Committee. I look forward to working with industry leaders to advance innovation, sustainability and the future growth of agriculture and the food chain. Constructive dialogue with the European institutions will be critical in shaping policies that will enhance technological progress and growth in the sector.”

 

Mark Moore: A pioneer in agricultural engineering

Mark Moore, AGCO’s director of government affairs, is a distinguished industry executive, having made a significant contribution to the development of agricultural technology since 1990, when he began working with Massey Ferguson. As an agricultural engineer, he has been a pioneer in intelligent agriculture and holds a PhD in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering. Today, he works closely with governments and institutions to develop sustainable agricultural practices and ensure food sufficiency. As of 2024, he is also president of the Institution of Agricultural Engineers (IAgrE).

Two-year term of office for the leadership of the Commission

The election of Julia Katini and Mark Moore was approved by the CEMA Board of Directors on February 11, 2025. Their term of office will last for two years, during which they are expected to play a key role in the Union’s consultations with the European institutions to promote innovation and sustainable development of agricultural equipment.
